Burger Business Brokers was started by Gideon Johannes Christiaan Burger.
Deon was schooled in Namibia and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch, before completing compulsory military training in 1987.
He is an experienced entrepreneur and business owner with a corporate background in Tax (Tax Inspector for the Namibian Revenue Service), Insurance (Broker & Consultant for Sanlam) and Marketing (owning various small and medium sized enterprises).
Deon is responsible for multiple successful start-ups within the private sector, both locally and abroad. His extensive management experience was acquired over a 20 year period, which includes but is not limited to the following industries:

- Convenience retail
- Fast foods
- Take-aways
- Liquor
- Fresh produce
- Service delivery
- Energy & Fuel
- Arts & Gifts
- Stationery & Printing
- Transport & Logistics
