• The owner of this group of national franchise supermarkets has been in the industry for many years and has built his business up with meticulous strategic decisions and has succeeded in compiling a group of franchise supermarkets which he manages on a daily basis, checking the turnovers/GP’s etc., and thus can pick up potential problems and rectifying it immediately.
• By practicing stringent management principles, the group of supermarkets run on an average of 27% GP, which is an indication of his control processes in place.
• This GP is achieved notwithstanding the challenges facing the supermarket industry (i.e. some private supermarkets that import grey products and cheap imitations).
• The owner is now ready for retirement and wishes to hand the group of supermarkets over to an experienced entrepreneur- the existing owner is prepared to stay on assisting the new owner with all the aspects of managing such a group of supermarkets.
