Introduction:

• The business started as an engineering company specializing in tool and die-making for the plastics industry. Today they specialize in the design and manufacturing of components used in South Africa’s extensive mining-, construction-, agriculture-, and retail industries. Their main area of expertise is plastic injection moulding with shot weight from 10g to 1000g with clamping force ranging from 30-390 tons. They do product design, development, tool making and 3D printing. They are ISO9001 compliant. They have several opportunities in the pipeline which will substantially increase the turnover in the business.
• They are currently exploring the addition of further products to their range for an established client of 20 years, which may present additional opportunities.
• They are collaborating with two other companies on a project to develop and supply closures for soft pack bottles used in the food industry, currently applied in baby food packaging. This project is expected to be implemented towards the end of 2026.
• Another product is used to fasten solar panels to roofs and far superior and more cost effective than current systems.
• Aeroponic tubes were developed through their own R&D and design work. They agreed that the patent would be registered in a client’s/buyers name, who have better marketing expertise, in exchange for sole worldwide manufacturing rights. They retain ownership of all step-files and working drawings for the moulds. The Aeroponic tube is an upright hydroponic system which is extremely space effective.
